What Is Misting

Outdoor misting systems are featuring everywhere - at your favourite alfresco restaurant, the fresh fruit market you frequent, the outdoor wedding you went to last weekend.

Mist cooling systems work on the basic principle of thermal dynamics: water, by way of a high pressure pump, is forced through specialised tubing that produce micro-fine mist. The droplets of mist are so fine that they 'flash evaporate' which instantly cools the surrounding air without noticeable moisture. When mist evaporates the exchange of energy results in the lowering of the ambient temperature.

The presence of a misting system can change the temperature of those areas with cooling with up to 12 degrees. This value added service suddenly turns an unbearably hot day into a wonderful outdoor experience.
