Pre-cooling HVAC misting system air handling unit

High ambient temperatures force condenser units to work harder, consume more energy, and deliver less cooling performance. Misting SA's High-Pressure Pre-Cooling Systems reduce the temperature of air entering the condenser, helping units operate more efficiently, reliably and cost-effectively.

Ideal for any condenser-based system

  • Air-conditioning condensers
  • Commercial refrigeration
  • Cold rooms & freezer rooms
  • Supermarket & retail HVAC
  • Industrial chillers
  • Server room AC units
  • Ice machines
  • Beverage chillers
  • Packaged rooftop units

Benefits

Improved cooling performance

Lowering intake air temperature increases cooling capacity, allowing units to reach setpoint faster and more consistently.

Reduced energy consumption

Condensers operating with cooler air use less electricity — reducing monthly operating costs.

Prevents overheating & downtime

High temperatures cause compressors to run at maximum load, often leading to shutdowns or failure. Pre-cooling reduces strain.

Extends equipment lifespan

Lower operating pressure and reduced thermal load help compressors, coils and motors last significantly longer.

Maintains comfort & stability

Reliable cooling for restaurants, kitchens, supermarkets, IT rooms, plants and offices — even during peak heat.

Safe for electronics & fins

Ultra-fine droplets evaporate instantly — no water reaches the coils.

How pre-cooling works

Our high-pressure mist system releases a fine evaporative mist around the air intake area. As droplets evaporate, they remove heat from the surrounding air (adiabatic cooling), resulting in:

  • Cooler air entering the condenser
  • Lower head pressure
  • Improved efficiency
  • Reduced energy load

Typical temperature drop: 5–12 °C depending on humidity and airflow.

Ideal applications

  • Restaurants & commercial kitchens
  • Retail supermarkets & cold chains
  • Data centres & server rooms
  • Warehouses & loading bays
  • Hotels, offices & hospitality buildings
  • Factories & industrial HVAC
  • Ice machines & beverage cooling
  • Cold rooms & refrigerator compressor racks

Boost cooling. Cut costs. Protect your equipment.

Year-round savings through smarter condenser operation.
